Set-Up: the workshops and the show!
Set-Up är ett projekt som vill främja konstens integrering i samhället genom att sammanföra grupper av dans- och performanceintresserade aktörer – både amatörer och professionella – i konstnärligt skapande på en offentlig plats. Det konstnärliga teamet bestående av Rachel Tess, Uli Ruchlinski, Elise Brewer, Nellie Björklund, Axel Berger, Anna Paulnitz och Faryad Mortazavi som under våren och sommaren 2020 genomföra har genomfört totalt 9 workshops som förberedelse för ett dansperformanceverk som ska visas på MittMöllan om nån vecka i slutet av september. Baserat på deltagarnas intressen och förkunskaper undersöker de koreografi i relation till rörelse, objekt, rum, ljus och ljud. Såhär ser schemat ut för veckan på MittMöllan:
tisdag 22/9: workshop 18-21. warmup, rearrange the room and group/solo dancing
onsdag 23/9: workshop 18-21. warmup, rearrange the room and group/solo dancing, sound station exersize
torsdag 24/9: Set-up performance, 1:a visning av verket 18-21
fredag 25/9: Set-up performance med valda delar av verket 12-14
lördag 26/9: Set-up performance på Panora. Hela verket.
Set-Up is a project that wants to promote the integration of art in society through group activity with both professional and amateur performers in public spaces.
The artistic team including Rachel Tess, Uli Ruchlinski, Elise Brewer, Nellie Björklund, Axel Berger, Anna Paulnitz and Faryad Mortazavi have done a series of workshops during spring and summer 2020 in order to prepare for a dance and performance work that will be presented at MittMöllan in late september. They will explore choreography through movement, objects, room, light, and sound based on the interests of the participants.
Next weeks activities start on tuesday 22/9 with a workshop at MittMöllan 18-21. Premier showing of the work on thursday 24/9 18-21. Further showings : friday 25/9 12-14 (selected parts of the work), saturday 26/9 at Panora, Malmö.
